The Burger King Saga...

I love when there are new promotions, especially when it's involving Amazon.com credit! This week, I went to Burger King for their new "Fantastic Four" promotion. I didn't get my Amazon cash card either time. I went back and asked for it and after waiting for 20 minutes, finally got the card. It was very annoying that they aren't including it in the bag or on the tray of food, like they should. My impression and I hope I'm wrong on this, is they aren't giving them out at all! The promotion is being prominently advertised as well, so I'm very surprised that two different Burger Kings messed up.

So, just a warning, if you order large or king size for the Amazon cash card, be sure you get it before you leave! It will be interesting to see if this is a widespread problem...and how quickly they fix it. Customers shouldn't have to waste their time to remind Burger King to give them their Amazon cash card.

Here's how to get a card for free: You can request cash cards by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope (#10 envelope) to: Official Cash Card Requests Box 1286 Elmhurst, IL 60126-1286 "Typed, computer-generated or otherwise mechanically reproduced outer envelopes are NOT allowed." Contest goes until 7/31/05 or while supply of cards lasts.

I had the exact same experience at the Burger King here in Houston. When I went back to see the manager, I asked why they didn't give me a card. Her response was "you didn't ask for one". I told her I shouldn't have to ask for it - they're supposed to know to give it! Seems fishy to me.

Have any of you had luck getting onto Amazon.com? I have tried and tried and without success it appears to always be down.

Here is a bigger issue with this promotion. You can't accumulate the savings and you have to reset the website each time you enter a code. This promotion isn't any more of a promotion than playing an instant lottery ticket. Start to scratch off the code and see BK... and you might as well toss the card. $1 off? I'll buy elsewhere.
