Deal Adventure: My $2 Movie Deal

We saw "Super 8" last night (good movie, highly recommend!) and bought 2 movie tickets, popcorn and drink for $2. How did we do it?

First, we got (2) free movie tickets from Groupon. They had a Fandango movie ticket deal a few weeks ago. I had some Groupon credit and that made the tickets free. We saved $22 right there!

Then, Regal is having a free popcorn deal. 

Here's how we got our free popcorn:

• Visit any Regal Cinemas, United Artists Theatres or Edwards Theatres locations.
• Go to popcorn.yahoo.net from your phone (or click here to send the link to your phone now)
• Check in to get a coupon for FREE popcorn.
• After you're registered, simply text popcorn to 35350 each time you visit a participating theater.

At first the cashier didn't know how to ring up the promotion, they thought they had to scan my phone. Then another cashier said they just had to punch in the number on the phone.

So all I bought was a drink! Fun time @ the movies for only $2!
