Win Four Tickets to Cedar Point and HalloWeekends

Win four tickets to Cedar Point!

Recently we had the chance to enjoy the HalloWeekends Mom Blogger Day. My husband and I headed to Cedar Point with my son Cam and his three friends, Rocco, Charlie and Gino. All four boys were really excited to go to HalloWeekends, especially since it was Charlie and Gino's first time visiting America's Roller Coast.

The boys were excited for Blue Streak, but rain cut that short before they could ride. Luckily we were prepared and brought umbrellas. Of course, there is so much to do at Cedar Point, even in the rain. We spent some time at the Coliseum Arcade, rode Cedar Downs, Cadillac Cars, Dodgem, and the CP&LE Railroad.

After the roundtrip from one of the park's classic steam locomotives, we headed down Frontier Trail, one of our favorite parts of the park. We explored a couple of gift shops, stopped in at C. J.'s Provisions for some treats, and dipped candles at the Candle Shop. The kids enjoyed the yummy fall treats — chocolate chip cookies, hot apple cider, and caramel apples from C.J's Provisions.

The rain came to an end and the crisp evening air set in. The kids had been looking forward to the haunted houses all day. First up was Eternity Infirmary. The kids thought it was cool and really creepy. This ended up being everyone's favorite.

Next door to Eternity Infirmary is Wave Swinger, which is too much fun to pass up. Then it was off to one of the new HalloWeekends attractions, Eden Musee. The haunt is a nod to Cedar Point's rich history and was lots of fun.

We worked our way toward the front of park, but not before a stop at the Shooting Gallery in Frontiertown and the Gemini Games Area. The kids took a swing on Iron Dragon before heading over to G. A. Boeckling's Eerie Estate.

A must-see was the Overlord release the Screamsters into the park. The kids thought this was great!

Here they are with the Overlord:

Then we watched Sideshow - A Carnival of Magic, which we all found really good.

On the way back to Blood on the Bayou, we stopped so the kids could get that ride on Blue Streak. Here is Charlie and Gino, who is making a scary face for the camera!

Blood on the Bayou was fun. The old southern gentleman outside the entrance did his best to lure in unsuspecting guests.

On the way out of the park, after a fun-filled day, we walked through Fear Faire and ended the night with a walk through Club Blood.

We highly recommend you check out HalloWeekends- there is so much spooky fun!

Here are some family-friendly attractions to check out while you are there:

  • Skeleton Crew — Acrobatics and aerial acts taking place throughout the day in Cedar Point’s new Celebration Plaza. The show opened last weekend to rave reviews and it is a "must see."
  • Monster Midway Invasion Celebration — A fun parade featuring friendly monsters and characters that take over the Cedar Point Main Midway.
  • The Goodtime Ghouls: A Halloween Hullabaloo — Energetic musical revue in the Good Time Theater.
  • Gypsy Fortune Tellers — Find out what’s in the cards for you as you venture into Frontiertown.
  • Charlie Brown’s Funtime Frolics — The PEANUTS gang comes together for music, stories and spooky surprises.
  • The Magical House on Boo Hill — Kids get their own house to walk through. Whimsical illusions await at every corner in the topsy-turvy attraction.
  • PEANUTS™ Halloween Show and Kids’ Costume Contest — Bring your little pirates and princesses for pre-school competitions at 2 p.m. and grade-school competitions at 2:45 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday in the Blue Streak Plaza.

Cedar point has become a special place for my family. Before my dad passed away we would go at least twice a summer and have a wonderful time. After my father passed I carried on the tradition with my wife and I. I plan on keeping the tradition alive when my kids are old enough to ride their favorite rides like I did with my father. I actually had my first coaster ride with my dad which was magnum at 9 years old. The park has so many memories for my family.

I love going to Cedar Point because of all of the fantastic roller coasters they have there. My favorite one is the Millenium Force.
My favorite time of the year to go to the park is during Halloweekends. I love to see all of the different Halloween decorations around the park and love the attention to detail inside of the haunted houses.

I love going to cp because it is a family tradition. I started going at 3 months with my parents. I love watching my kids ride jr Gemini with the same excitement I had when I was little. I also love staying in camper village every year. I have never been to hallo weekends but want to try it

I love Cedar Point, we didn't get to go this year because we couldn't afford it. I have never been there for HalloWeekends but have always wanted to go, it looks amazing.

I love going to Cedar Point on Halloween Weekends to watch the monsters come out at night and walk around the midway. I enjoy the sights of the Halloween decorations all over the park to the smells of the fog at night when the walk through hunts come alive. I love to listen to the sounds of everyone having fun young and old alike. This year I have an exchange student living with my family and i from Egypt and she was born on Halloween and yet does not know anything about Halloween. I would love to share Cedar Point with her and Halloween there too. I think she would love it as well. Just as much as I do maybe even more and take something back home with her that she has never seen before until now. Thanks!

Cedar Point always seems so close, yet so far away! I haven't been in a few years even though it's just a couple hours away. This would be an amazing win and surprise trip for my hubby!

My family & I went this past July, this was my daughters first trip there, she had a blast to say the least! I had no idea what a little adrenalin monster she is! I'm so glad my nephew came along with us because there are rides that I just can't seem to find the courage to ride. Gettin old I guess. I would really like to make another trip out there because the lines were so long that day there are some rides my little speed queen didn't get to ride. :(

I love going to Cedar Point to watch my 2 boys enjoy the roller coasters and other kiddie rides. They really like going and look forward to it every year. We have never been to Halloweekends and I think this year they are at the right age to get scared but not "scarred" for life. Awesome giveaway, thanks for the opportunity!

Having visited Cedar Point with my family and friends for more than 30 years and also having been an employee at the park for four seasons, I have many memorable experiences that seem to always stay fresh in my mind whenever I think of the park. Cedar Point has a rich long history that has always interested me and I have seen the park grow and change a lot since my first visits there as a young child. Some of the rides and attractions I remember and enjoyed from my earliest visits are long gone but many of the rides that replaced the old ones and the newest rides and coasters are some of the best fun and thrills in the world by far. My most memorable time spent at the park has to be when I worked there because it became more than just a summer job to me, it became a life changing experience and I gained much from it. The amusement park life was hard work but at the same time pretty fun and the friends I met along the way, were some of the best people I’ve met in my life. When Soak City closed for the season, I would get to have the most fun of all when Park Operations Manager at the time Bill Spehn let me be a freelance “Screamster” with my many owned costumes during HalloWeekends. The terrifying scares I was able to get in the houses and on the midway (No Midway paths then) led to some inspirations for him and the creative team to implement into the proceeding HalloWeekends. The families and groups of friends who go to the park can have a great time at one of the country’s premiere amusement parks but I am thankful that I had the chance to be both a visitor and employee to really see what it takes to operate America’s Roller Coast and the day long fun there is to be had. Love Cedar Point the most during HalloWeekends and looking forward to my trip there before the season's end.

I would love to go to Cedar Point because I have not been since I was a teenager. Now that my children are old enough to enjoy some rides and the shows/characters, I would love to be able to take them.
