Tip: Hold An Auction Party

Host an Auction Party as a fun way to get rid of things you don’t want and acquire things you do—all for free! Ask each guest to bring at least one item they would like to get rid of and a snack to share. All
the items are put on a table for everyone to look at while guests are arriving. Then hand each person $1,000 in play money. Someone assumes the position of auctioneer, and the articles are auctioned off to the highest bidder using the play money. The items can be anything from computers to
television sets, jewelry, clothing, plants, etc.
