DIY Cinnamon Sugar Popcorn Gift Kit in a Jar

You can assemble the unpopped ingredients in a jar, so the recipient can enjoy the fresh, warm snack whenever they like.

Assembly

  1. Layer the Kernels: Place the unpopped kernels in the main jar.

  2. Package the Seasoning: Mix the cinnamon, sugar, and salt, and place the mixture in a small, separate bag. Tie it securely.

  3. Attach Instructions: Write the popping and seasoning instructions on a decorative tag or card.

  4. Assemble the Gift: Attach the seasoning bag and instructions tag to the jar using twine or ribbon. 

Popping Instructions to Include

"Pop kernels (yields about 7-8 cups). In a small saucepan, melt butter and pour over warm popcorn. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the popcorn and toss to coat evenly. Enjoy!" 

DIY Peppermint Sugar Scrub Gift

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated white sugar (or any sugar)

  • 1/2 cup carrier oil (fractionated coconut oil, sweet almond oil, olive oil, or grapeseed oil work well)

  • 8-12 drops peppermint essential oil (adjust to your desired strength)

  • Optional: 1-2 drops green or red food coloring, or crushed candy canes for a festive look 

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients: In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add the sugar and the carrier oil. Stir until well combined. If using solid coconut oil, you may need to soften it slightly in the microwave (15-25 seconds) first, but avoid melting it completely. The mixture should have a consistency like wet sand.

  2. Add scent and color: Add the peppermint essential oil and the food coloring, if using. Mix thoroughly until the color is evenly distributed.

  3. Adjust consistency: If the mixture is too wet, add a little more sugar. If it is too dry, add a few more drops of oil until you reach your desired consistency.

  4. Store: Spoon the finished scrub into an airtight container, such as a glass mason jar. Store it in a cool, dry place.
