Disney fans, this one’s for you. We’re setting out on a new adventure with Disney to bring magical shopping experiences to our guests.
First, get ready for the Disney store at Target. These new “shop-in-shop” locations will launch at 25 select Target stores in October, with 40 more opening by October 2020. The fun will also be available in a new digital experience at Target.com/Disneystore. The full site launches Oct. 4, but you can take an early peek right now.
The Disney store at Target will feature more than 450 items including toys, games, apparel and accessories—with more than 100 products that were previously only available at Disney retail locations. Guests will find favorites like Disney Princess, Star Wars, Marvel, Disney Junior characters, Classic Disney plush, apparel, home and holiday products, along with collectibles like the Disney Animators’ Collection.
Our teams worked closely with Disney to co-develop and design the store experience with features like music, interactive displays, photo ops and a seating area where families can watch Disney movie clips.
Target just announced its new Good & Gather brand, which is slated to become the retailer’s largest flagship food and beverage brand.
As a result of guest research, the new brand will offer a wide range of food and beverage products that prioritize taste, quality ingredients, ease of preparation, and value.
Good & Gather products will be made without artificial flavors and sweeteners, will contain no synthetic colors or high fructose corn syrup, and will be backed by a money-back guarantee. This new brand will be available in stores and online on Target.com for same-day delivery starting on September 15, 2019.
By the end of 2020, more than 2,000 food and beverage products will be sold under Target’s Good & Gather labelincluding everyday staples such as milk, eggs, and cheese. The brand will also include new and trendy products such as avocado toast salad kits and beet hummus alongside classic grocery staples such as dairy, produce, ready-made pasta, meat, granola bars, and sparkling water.

Have you heard of Studio Connect? Target’s secret app that allows customers collaborate with the company’s designers.
Launched in 2016, Studio Connect is an uber-secret app that resembles Instagram.
The app is used by designers to gain customer insight and feedback on products in development rather than after they’ve already hit store shelves and it’s too late to make changes. For example: in the case of Target’s popular Cat & Jack kids line, designers asked kids to submit their own designs for clothes—some of which eventually made it into stores.
So how does a loyal Target devotee get their hands on this super-secret app? Only a very lucky select few are invited to use the app, with only around 600 members currently. Customers are invited to join through online research and receipt polls. So yes—it actually pays to take those surveys!
While app users are not compensated for providing their feedback through the app, they do receive points toward discounts and gift cards. The best perk, however, is getting a sneak peek at what’s to come and helping to influence the direction of Target’s offerings.
