One budget tip I just read recently that has really helped my family is to save all the gift cards you receive. I have a 3 ring binder, with baseball card pages and I store them in there. When my family wants to eat out or buy something not in our budget, we just have to get out a gift card! It's really helped us stick with our budget and not feel deprived!
