Weekend Update

Wow, this would be the bargain of the year. Congress is proposing checks of $600 per individual and $1,200 per couple who paid income tax and who filed jointly. It appears it's supposed to be something to get our economy going again, by getting people to go shopping for big ticket items. If it goes through, what will you do with your check? Most likely, we'll be using ours for savings and maybe a few special purchases.

And here's another good article, "Six Ways Stores Trick You Into Spending More". Lots of good tips!

Speaking of shopping at the grocery store, I just checked out coupons.com to see if they had any new coupons and they have some really good ones! Here is some of what I found:

$1 off Life cereal
$1/2 Pillsbury Toaster Strudel
