News: Class Action Suit- KFC and Oprah
/
If you have coupons from the Oprah/ Kentucky Grilled Chicken deal two years ago but weren't able to get your free chicken, you can now receive a settlement of up to $15.96.
- If you have original coupons (with a unique barcode not ending in 1234), you can send in up to 4 and get $3.99 for each of them (total of $15.96 per household)
- If you have PDF coupons downloaded directly from oprah.com or unthinkfc.com (with a barcode ending in 1234), you can send in up to 4 and get $2 for each (total of $8 per household)
- If you had original or PDF coupons from oprah.com or unthinkfc.com but didn't keep them, you can get $1 for each (total of $4 per household)
You must mail in the claim form and coupons, so subtract the cost of a stamp from the above amounts (the 2-page claim form plus 4 8.5x11 coupons in an envelope weighed over an ounce for me, so cut out the coupons if you don't want to have to use additional postage).
Be aware that the claim form asks you to list any websites that you posted copies of the coupons to, and you must affirm that you removed any copies from those websites in order to be eligible to make a claim.
Also note that according to the claim form: If you (a) downloaded your Original or PDF Coupon(s) from a website other than www.oprah.com or www.unthinkfc.com, (b) downloaded your Original or PDF coupon(s) other than between 9:00 a.m. central time on May 5 and 11:59 p.m. central timeon May 6, 2009, or (c) received your Original or PDF Coupon(s) from another person, you are not a member of the Settlement Class, and you may be committing perjury if you submit a claim under this Settlement.
