Cam and I decided to make the Rice Krispie M&M’s® wreath, as shown above! It is really fun to make and easy for kids to help out too.
Here is what you will need:
- Rice Krispies
- marshmallows
- M&M’s®
- unsalted butter
- food coloring
- white frosting
First, mix up a big batch of Rice Krispie treats. I doubled the recipe to make a really big wreath. Next, while the mixture is still warm, create a wreath shape out of the Rice Krispie treats on a parchment covered tray.
Allow to cool off and Rice Krispie's to form a shape for about 2 hours. While this is cooling, mix up a tub of white frosting and add a few drops of green food coloring. This will make the wreath a green color. Next, sort out your M&M’s® into 2 bowls of red and green. You will need 1 bag of holiday M&M’s®. Once the wreath is dry, spread the frosting on the wreath, applying generously. Smooth it out and start adding the green M&M’s® before the frosting dries. Try an over-lapping pattern to make the entire wreath look nice. You can also add on a bow to the bottom of the wreath, with red M&M’s®.
Hope you enjoy this recipe!
