6 Amazing Ways to Save at Ikea
/
I love IKEA, as many of you do, too! I wanted to share some savings secrets with you:
1. One of my fave places to check out is the “as-is” room for discounted, preassembled products. The items in this room were either returned, used as display products or slightly damaged. They’re all at really great prices.
2. Before you go to the store, check for local IKEA discounts on the store’s website. Every store has special coupons and offers, particularly for food, so make sure you take advantage of them.
3. Before making any big purchases, say cabinets or kitchen appliances, look up comparably priced items at other stores and read reviews. Be sure to check in the “Offers” section of the site as well — there might be a great deal on what you’re looking for. Most Ikea stores off offer free WiFi in the restaurant area, so bring a your smartphone or laptop with you for on-the-fly research, but to be honest, I find IKEA is usually has the lowest prices.
4. If you end up missing parts for your IKEA purchase, the store will replace them for free. All you have to do is figure out the missing part number (listed in the assembly instructions) and call your local store to ask for replacements.
5. This was a new deal to me! You receive a $25 discount on a $250 purchase when you sign up for the IKEA Moving Program. You’ll also get handy tools like shopping lists and inspiration boards. There’s no obligation to sign up, and only have to spend $250 (one or two pieces of furniture) to get the discount.
6. This is a must for everyone! IKEA offers a free, no-obligations discount Family Program for any interested customers. It’s free to join, and you’ll get special discounts, members-only savings events, early sales announcements, 90-day price protection, and even coffee and tea in the store’s restaurant.
And don’t forget to pick up a pack of cinnamon buns in the grocery section. They are so good!
