Trend Alert: Mini Target Stores

Target recently announced plans to open four new small-format stores on or near college campuses, with three more set to open this fall. And by the end of 2017, Target plans to open nearly 30 new small-format stores in dense urban and suburban markets and on college campuses.

Since many of these smaller stores are located near college campuses, they will be filled with college student essentials like food, dorm essentials and decor, tech and more! And each location will offer locally relevant products and even convenient hubs to pick up online orders.

Self-checkout kiosks will be near doors to provide quick and easy access to purchases on the way to class. There will also be a Starbucks with charging outlets and cozy seating.
