Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs a transfusion of donated blood.

Donated blood saves millions of lives, including those of pregnant women and their newborn babies, people living with challenging health conditions, and cancer patients, which means that even if you haven't personally benefited from donated blood it's very likely you know someone who has. (After all, one donation can save a total of three lives.)

Blood is always in critical supply but it's especially needed in the summer when donations typically drop 20%!
